I have been listening to JAIRPM non stop since I got back on Monday... it's the post gig effect, the songs sound bolder and better especially Beredd På Allt, Petroleum and Jag Ser Dig. I am loving it more listen after listen... It's another kentastic album (but still it's not Doden or Rod or Vapen or Isola )

I still really like the album. Definitely more than EPIS and possibly even "Röd" and TTS. Nothing will ever top HH for me though.

Still skipping "Hänsyn" and "Ruta 1"...really have taken on a liking to "Petroleum". FPN is still great and I think it should be a single.

"verKiligen" and not "Verligen"
"dance-rock" its not the right term, but what I mean is an easier way to do songs than before

OK after a few months of listening to the album and a live show attendance I can say that this has been a grower for me.
Favorite track and candidate for an all time favorite by Kent is Låt Dom Komma (so many repeats in car and on iPhone!)

Petroleum was a weird one cause I definitely wanted/expecting it to evolve and change when I had the first listen.
I managed to understand its form better after the live show and now it is one of my favorite songs from the album.

Beredd På Allt was an instant favorite and still is, I liked Hansyn from the first listen because of its hauntic melody but I dont know how I feel about Färger På Natten.

I wouldnt be surprised if Petroleum was the 3rd single from the album.
My vote goes to Låt Dom Komma though

The more I listen to it, the more it seems to me as a lighter sister of Du & Jag Döden, with the same unknown gloominess threatening underneath the sunny cover, the same death sneaking around - only that now it's paired with immortality and the everlasting sun, which is both your enemy and your friend. Or at least in my mind these two go hand-in-hand.

I used to skip Ruta 1 and I still sometimes do it, since it's a ballad and with a different bit of feeling, but I know fully understand it's importance in the tracklist - it fits so nicely, giving you a mild breather, a time to rest. And understanding this makes the whole album completely perfect to me.

But is it only me or is it impossible to listen to JAIRPM with shitty speakers? Unless, of course, you're a fan. For example I can't listen to JAIRPM in a car (since there are always other people with me, because I cannot drive), I'm too self-conscious about the fact that it sounds worse than other Kent's albums, although it actually isn't when listen to it with good speakers. I feel as if I'm ruining other passengers Kent experience with that - and that would be the worst thing ever if they wouldn't want to listen to Kent with me anymore!

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just sharing what I've noticed.

The more I listen to JAIRPM the more i love it... still not as much as Rod or DOJD but it is a great album... I don't have a favourite song, depends on the mood. Petroleum tho is brilliant (so are Färger på natten and Beredd på allt)

Well, for obvious reasons JÄIRFM has been on repeat on my mp3 player this week! I think Beredd på allt is probably my favourite, I just love the dark, foreboding tones though the song. If I had it on right now, I could point out little bits that make it extra special, but I'm at work and we have the radio on.

Funny that you should mention Ruta 1, grundrisse, it doesn't seem to get much attention here. The bit in the song where Jocke says "på ruta ett" (with the rolling rrrrr) just makes me melt. In a totally relaxing way. There is something very restful about the song, and you're right, it does break up the tracklist in a good way.

999 and Beredd Pa Allt are still my two favourites but I've grown to like Ruta 1 more because it's a nice calm chilled song. Actually it would've fit quite well on EPIS. They do that clapped thing and the drum synth or whatever it is quite well and it works on songs like that.

I think BPA is definitely a standout, primarily because it's the most different on the album. It has some classic Kent elements, but that lilting little guitar line and the minimal way that carries the song is quite nice. Quite a nice song, but very heavy in feeling all at once. There are parts where it threatens to almost be a a hip hop track, but without ever quite doing that. Pretty special. I think it's one of those unspeakable things where the verse is almost better than the chorus it's that well done.
