Best 'Foreign Language' Bands In The World

I recently saw a post that made me think more about this. I don't care what language music is in as long as it sounds nice and the language doesn't sound bad either. I like it more when I can understand Kent on their English albums and I can't understand a word from their other albums but it still sounds great. Anyways, what're the best non English singing rock bands you know? Here's my list:

1. Kent (kinda obvious or I wouldn't be here)

2. Sportfreunde Stiller -German (have a lot of songs like Kent, not as top quality overall but most of their songs are more catchy than Kent)

3. Sigur Rós -Icelandic (probably the most famous band in the world that doesn't sing in English, their music should have it's own genre named Sigur Rós)

4. Juli - German (good fairly new rock band, their singles, specially Dieses Leben are terrific, girl lead singer)

5. Wir Sind Helden - German (a lot of their music is dance or electro or disco rock but a lot of it is light rock as well, really popular in Germany)

There are a couple of Swedish bands who sing in Swedish I really like that aren't Kent! They are Sibiria and Vapnet (although one guy is in both bands so they do sound quite similar). If you like jangly pop music with very tuneful, catchy melodies and self-deprecating lyrics then I think you'd like them too. It could almost be 1983 again listening to them! (And I mean that as a compliment.)

I have to say that, except from Kent, which are my favourite ones, the best band or solo artists "non English singing" that I listen to, sing all in Italian (my mother language)

Here are a few good non-english bands I like.

Rammstein (German of course)
Jean Jacques Goldman (French, of course )
Indochine (also French, from the 80's. Alice et June kicks major ass)
Asmegin (Norwegian Viking metal band that sings in Norwegian and some old Norse)
TYR (from the Faroe Islands, viking rock based on the sagas. They sing in english occasionally but also Danish and Faroese)

Kent, Dungen, and Sigur Ros are the only non-english bands I've been listening to lately... I should probably find some more?

My norwegian lector offered me to listen to Vamp.
I believe they are worth some attention.Probably.

Ok, my friend found a terrific German band, good pure light/alternative rock. They only have one album out so far from this year but they're pretty young so I think they'll improve and their album isn't bad.

Anyways, they're name is Fertig Los here are some vids, their first music vid is just plain wierd, reminds me of kent though but at least it's a catchy song:

Regarding German bands singing in German, the best known and most successful is Rammstein.

Two great bands with less international appeal are Die Ärzte and Die Toten Hosen.

Two fantastic indie bands are Kettcar and Tocotronic.

Old fart Phillip Boa sounds German both when he's singing in English (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5XGJmgivDQ) and in German ("Der Himmel"). Luckily, he has Swedish co-lead singer Pia Lund in his band.

Some nice Austrian bands singing in German:

Heinz (aus Wien): student rock with very funny lyrics (downside: Michis voice)
Garish: Austrian Britpop

Other tips are Norwegian Band Kaizers Orchestra and Finnish band Zen Café

I have to add Bo Kaspers Orkester . Great Swedish Band. And I have to admit that I like some songs of Lars Winnerbäck. If he would sing in english I would not even listen, I guess, but in swedish it sounds interesting.
