Nah, best or at least most popular band in Canada right now is Sum 41. Their new album is fantastic. They're more of a pop punk band though. If you want something more rock and kent sounding then go for Our Lady Peace. They've been around slightly longer than kent and I've only heard one of their albums (Healthy In Paranoid Times) properly so far (haven't gotten around to the other stuff) but it's easily better than the first three kent albums. They make ballads and more popish songs too. Here's a few music vids, these songs are good:

I just can't get away from you Canadians. Calgary just beat Dallas in OT. They may make some of you happy. I'm annoyed. Dallas turned over the puck thanks to Morrow's blind pass and it led to Lombardi's sweet game winning goal.

Morrow's still playing with Dallas? One of the most overrated players in the NHL along with Lehitinen.
Yes. He's captain. Overrated my ass. He produces every night. He gets hurt, he plays hurt. He played with a broken hand a whole season. Forsberg gets a cramp and he's out for 2 weeks. Lehtinen is completely underrated. He might not be flashy and top of the goal scoring, but he's good at what he does.

Life is totally nuts!!! I finally got married to my Swede, we are now living here in Alberta, Canada. I graduated last November from University and got a killer job with the Government of Canada. We`ve just bought a house and hopefully we will be moving in November!!
One of the best bands in Canada is definitely NOT Sum 41!!! It is actually Matthew Good Band!! Just thought that you should know!!
Thing is, there are two splits in Canada. First there are all those older bands like Tragically Hip, Mathew Good, Barenaked Ladies and then there are all the younger ones like Gob, Sum 41, Hedley, Our Lady Peace, Avril Lavigne, Billy Talent, Simple Plan, etc. Some of these are shit or have become shit at some point.
I really miss Treble Charger, I was 12 when their last album came out but they made some catchy songs but now they're making more money working behind the scenes. I think their 2nd singer went solo or something. Oh and there's another pretty decent Canadian band I remember called Wide Mouth Mason, don't remember if they're still around though, they were pretty young.

Orrrr those who like Our Lady Peace, Billy Talent, Tegan & Sara, (sad to admit, but) Bryan Adams, Joel Plaskett..and there are probably others but I can't remember right now.
God I hate avril lavigne. And Sum 41 used to be ok...but they've gotten old and boring and dumb.
Sum 41 are only around 26 yrs old. And they're way better now than when they came out. Their new album's definetely their best work and has more catchy and pop stuff. Try listening to some of these songs from it:

and the first single Underclass Hero from their album's catchy. Definetely not the most boring Canadian band around.
I didn't mean their age, I meant their music. If I didn't like them because of their actual age I think I'd hate kent..haha.
Also, I don't really like that kind of music in general very much soooo :S.
