Due to recent events, I hope Kent change the cover. Regardless of what deeper meaning they may be trying to convey, it's still a gun going off. Even more unfortunate, the box set's press release came less then two days before the tragic event (in one of the band's major markets).
On a lighter note, I'm glad they changed their four symbols.
Hmm.. I do admit that right after the incident the picture threw me a little, but I'm not a huge fan of beeing politically correct just for the sake of it. No need to change the picture. Rather than finding one or more reasons to change, I'd like them to have good reasons not to change the picture. This is what they came up with, so be it.
You can always find a reason to change!!!!

Both Du & Jag Döden as well as Tillbaka Till Samtiden first had "teaser" covers which turned out to be different from the ones on the actual albums. Therefore it shouldn't be too difficult for Kent to get out of this unfortunate fix...
Just out of curiosity, why do you think the cover should be changed? Because, given the circumstances, you find it inappropriate? Or you think it would further upset us (Finns)? Or some other reason?
The release of the box is still a month away. The press will almost have forgot the whole thing by then, especially outside of Finland. And really, it's the press that keep reminding about the shooting. They dig irrelevant information for instance about the shooter's backgound just to make all the money they possibly can
First, the cover has no connection to Kent. Although they sometimes come up with horror images (see the D&JD t-shirts), they're everything else than a band you'd expect behind such a cover.
Second, and more important, there is absolutely no need to glorify guns, regardless of when a tragic killing occurred.
The pistol stands for instruments. The bullets are the songs. The hand is... the band itself.
Edit: If there is a face in the gunsmoke then it could be the face of kent
1. as we (the fans) imagine the band
2. as their music created it.

For me:
I don't like weapons at all! I am a person who's totally against all kinds of violence.
But I am not sure if kent should really change the boxcover. I am very sure, that we can assume that kent are NOT involved in the happenings in finland (or the rest of the world).
... or at least I hope so
