A nice way I found to remember what it sounded like was the word boat/båt - å = the oa sound in the English word boat*.

I thought that the songs in the 2nd encore: Ingen kunde röra oss & Mannen i den vita hatten both go quite well together, since they are both about growing up & leaving.


*edit, this might only work in a scottish accent, though. We say our vowels quite quickly, and different to some english accents.

Surprised that Krossa allt / Dom andra hasn't been mentioned.

I love Krossa allt, and like .namnlös, I really had to cut back on the tracks from Röd. I'd quite happily have had most of the album in that list, as it was I left out Vals för Satan which was on my preliminary list. I just couldn't find a space for it.
And while I like Vapen & Ammunition, there's not many songs on there that I LOVE, so none made the cut. The problem is there are so many kent songs, and whittling them down to 20-25 was a seriously hard task. I also had none from the first 3 albums on my list, almost intentionally, as the first 2 are ok, and verkligen has more songs that I like. Hagnesta Hill onwards is where all my kent favourites lie.

Both with a Capo on 7 as well... so should work very well!

Sverige would be the first one after the first break. When everyone awaits the additional songs... the same after the second break. en helt ny karriär should start very silent and slowly and then it gets faster and bigger...! :-)

What I love about this thread- the different little 'touches' or 'versions' of songs that everyone has included in their list- whether they've already been done by kent, or are something we imagine in our heads.

Interessant.

Gummiband hat für mich seit längerer Zeit etwas extrem Faszinierendes. In sich steigernd und immer wieder Highlights, die sich im Laufe des Liedes bilden. Ja, das wäre in der Tat ein Opener, der für Überraschungen sorgen würde.


Und 400 Slag als letzten Song? Ein gewaltiger Abgang! Finde ich echt gut, deine Zusammenstellung.

Ansgar & Evelyne - gute Wahl.

Innan allting tar slut - ich finde es auf schwedisch besser.


Alles in allem eine Setlist, die absolut aus der Reihe fällt - etwas für Liebhaber.

Gummiband - the perfect kent song. Noisy, RAW, but still catchy. It's hard to explain how my weels turn when i hear that song, especially with headphones. My English is not good enough. The bass actually sounds like a rubber band, the guitar and the synth melt together for an awesome atmosphere. The reduced lyrics are on point, I really like the rubber band metaphor. And then of course the metal drums, if "Einstürzende Neubauten" would make pop music it would sound like Gummiband. I can't understand why this great song is the b-side of "Halka", a standard and boring Pop/Rock piece.

I started my kent karriär back in 2002, Amazon.de had a great deal on Hagnesta Hill and Isola, both in english. Early conditioning, that's the trivial reason why I like the english stuff more. V&A, Verkligen and of course D&JDö pulled me into the swedish language, although I can't built any sentences outside of kent's lyrical paths.
