Hello everybody...

I'm the newbie... I'm Seb from Germany, and I'm happy to be here!

I first ever heard of Kent when a german radio station premiered "columbus" shortly before the release of "tilbaka...", and this song got me from the first time I listened to it. So I went on and chose some more tunes on youtube, but these ones (I really don't know which songs I listened to...) didn't make an impact. So I kinda forgot about the band - until I managed to buy a copy of the limited digipack release of "hagnesta hill" in the Netherlands a few months ago...wow! Since then I ordered every album and I'm heavily into the sound these four boys create!

And as I'm interested in things around this band and into seeing them live, I thought I should become a member of the forum - so here I am...

Here's a welcome present.
A photo of Psykbunkern at the night of the first snow in December 2013, the month Kent started to record their 11th album, named "Sköldpaddan som försvann" according to reliable sources. The recordings happen in L.A, California, though. Not in their home studio Psykbunkern in Örby slott, Stockholm.

If there's anything you want to know, just ask and hopefully one of us will be able to answer.

What's your fave kent album? I think sometimes you have to be in the right 'mood' for a band/ album, and I'm glad you came across kent again and gave them another chance, it's like a great secret that hardly anyone outside scandinavia knows about, and you've found it

And namokab, seriously? And would you translate sköldpaddan as tortoise or turtle?

Thanks everybody! @namokab: That's quite a very good present, thanks! I'm following the band on Facebook, so I already knew that they're working on #11 - but I'm surprised how far it got by now! Seems that we haven't to wait too Long for the new record! @stjärnor: It's like you said: I can't pick one to be my absolutely fave...I really love "tillbaka till samtiden", cause it's the record that started everything for me. The only one I don't like that much is the "kent"-record - simply because it's as far away as possible from the songs that I started with. There are days I love to drive my car with "röd" pulsating in my brain, other days (like today) I'm into the earlier stuff from "du & jag döden" or "vapen & ammunition". In the end there are brilliant songs on every one of them!

This thread did not exist back when I registered, so I will make my introduction even 9 years later...

Okay, I was first registred on a forum that was older than this one, maybe from 2002 or 2003 and it disappeared.

I'm Maddy, or you can call me Madelyn, Madeline or my real name Madeleine (yes this sounds swedish hehe).
Actually I was born on 22 april 82 so that makes me nearly 34 years old

My basic job is professional photographer (mainly in the music industry), touch up specialist (montage, beauty touch up for Dior etc), designer, and I also draw, make webdesign as well and practice a lot of foreign languages (well 3 for now only) although I'm not fluent, I practice english and german every day and it's getting better in the time Swedish has always been easy to understand while reading, but practicing would help a lot!

About Kent, I'm a fan from the English Experiment era.... Got to know them in late 1999 or whenever Hagnesta Hill was released in France. Love at first sight litterally.
