Thom Yorke - Atoms for peace
I swear by my Life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for the sake of mine.
Let's see... some recent(ish) tunes that have caught my ear...
Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks
Muse - Uprising
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll
Carolina Liar - Show Me What You're Looking For
"Love is watching someone die.
So who's going to watch you die?"
Deep in the bayous of South Louisiana! Okay, not completely... just ventured away for a while, but new of the new single and album drew me back. I'm liking the new electro-kent, love Töntarna, and can't wait for the new tunes. One day I'll get back to another gig or two before the guys hang it up.
"Love is watching someone die.
So who's going to watch you die?"
While looking for where Kent are going to stage their New York Röd Release, I realized that it wasn't at the cult Bowery Ballroom after all. However, I came across:
Bowery - Miss You (Remix)
To make things even weirder, this band from Michigan describe themselves as sounding like: "A pretty even mix of Stars, Dandy Warhols, Kent, and NIN."
After this, finding that the Bowery Hotel (which is where I originally and erroneously expected the Ballroom) wasn't selling tickets wasn't that bad after all...
Post Electric Blues by Idlewild is sadly my favourite album of the year so far. Kent should easily be able to eclipse this because it hasn't been a great year for bands I like.
Younger Than America, Readers and Writers, and City Hall are three really good tracks from that album.

Great idea: if your day job (Sigur Ros in this case) prevents you from singing in English, just release a solo album!

Kent - Panorama
French Kent is a lot better than Chinese Kent. However, none match Swedish Kent!
