My name is Pete Cole and manage/promote a UK based band called {satellite-state} that play uplifting and moving tunes in the mould of Kent, Coldplay, U2, Doves etc.. Yah, not bad. I sadly can't be bothered with checking out any band until they have a song that enters the UK charts properly or the charts of whatever country they're from. I like that first song on their myspace profile and not crazy about the singer's voice but I guess it's better then Chris Martins.

I hate that song called Umbrella by Rihanna sooo much, hate eveytime it comes on or someone sings it. But one of the most underrated UK bands, McFly did a cover of it and made it sound really rock and not annoying so I love it:

One of the best Scottish bands and the ones that have inspired Keane, Coldplay, and Snow Patrol. I like this video and the song is very catchy. Ben Stiller (American actor) makes a bit of a cameo appearance in it and the wierd thing is that he has gray hair in it.

I'd say this is one, from a band that used to be more famous than Coldplay in 2002. I think that Keane and Coldplay are better than Travis but Travis sort of invented Keane and Coldplay. This song by them's a bit more rock but a good single and the video is sorta funny, just watch the many shirts in it:
