Scotland 2 - 0 FYR Macedonia
Gives some slight hope, it's not good for your health being a Scottish footie fan!!
thank you marco, we need all the help we can get! as jimmy says, it's not easy being a scotland fan- and I might not even get the chance to cheer on sweden either if hungary stay 2nd in group 1. even my 3rd team (portugal) look unlikely to qualify either.
the lengths a scotland fan will go to support anyone but england at football! (i don't think most scottish folk would mind the english, but it's the fact that we're still having to listen to them go on about 1966!)
Never a truer point made!!
Oh dear, no world cup for Scotland. Jimmy, how long before Burley gets the chop?
Hey marco, it's not your fault! I was expecting a 0-6 result for the Netherlands, so I think we got off lightly.
just to further my point re: England & football, first item on the 1pm BBC Radio 1 news today "England have qualified for the World Cup" clearly, nothing else more important had happened in the world (or even the uk)! I'll be keeping a close eye on group 1, Sweden are now sitting in 2nd place, yay!
Fuct. Was not going to book tickets for south africa anyway!
As for Burley, it's unfortunate that he has had such a short time and soooo many injuries in the team, especially when Craig Gordon was out of action we lost a lot of potential points. Then there are fucking diva's like Chris Boyd who refuses to play for the Scotland team, there's not much Burley can do with his hands tied behind his back.
But, as proven before, that's just perfect fodder for the SFA to use if they want to boot his ass out of the job, and not many will complain about it.
Latest gossip from home is that Owen Coyle has refused to leave Burnley for the Scotland job and said he "does not agree with the back-stabbing that goes on behind a managers back, Scotland have a manager, don't ask me"
Two other names being touted are Graeme Souness and Gordon Strachan.
Hearts 1-0 Kilmarnock
1st win of the season, thank fuck for that!
Fan också, back to fecking normal, Celtic 2-1 Hearts, the ugly sister scored the winner in the 3rd minute of injury time. Sounds familiar as the other ugly sister (rangers) did the same damn thing a while back, in injury time too.
Hearts 2-1 Hamilton
2nd win of the season lifts us up to the dizzy heights of 7th, blä!
