well, this is a rather ‘different’ bit of kent news.....

Jocke will be singing in a song in the new Disney movie ‘Cars 2’ with the Brothers Rongedal.
The song will feature in the Swedish version of the movie, and is called ‘Då det känns perfekt’ (when it feels perfect).
In the English version of the film, the song is called ‘You might think’ and is performed by Weezer.
Cars 2 is released in Sweden on August 5th.

Do you know, I had to go and look that song up on youtube, I hadn't heard of it before....and it's now stuck in my head!

It has been confirmed that the song, 'Det känns perfekt' from Bilar2 will be released as a single, the 1 track digital single will be released on 15th August, and the 1 track physical cd single will be released on 22nd August.

Not mentioned on kent.nu, but on Bengans.se is that the cd single will be a limited release of 1000 copies.

Today, 'Det känns perfekt’ is released as a digital single and in a week it will be in record shops.

In conjunction with EMI, we give all kent fans a chance to win one of 10 copies of the cd single.

Jesper Waldersten & Martin Sköld at Grafikens hus

Martin has collaborated with graphic artist, Jesper Waldersten to provide music for an exhibition which will open in Mariefred on October 22nd at Grafikens hus.
The exhibition creates a new world where 1 + 1 = 3.

A quote from Martin from the press release:
We have inspired each other. It began when we spoke about how quiet and a little stiff it can feel at art exhibitions, so I tried to write music to some of Jesper’s pictures which he had sent me, and suddenly we had a collaboration. He made the art to my music and I made music to his art. It really has been great fun. Jesper is a fantastic and gifted person. A new playmate.

The exhibition will be open 22.10.2011 until 29.1.2012

Norwegian newspaper VG reports that Jocke & Martin (and the Pet Shop Boys) have been helping Morten Harket from A-ha write his solo album.

Norwegian newspaper VG reports that Jocke & Martin (and the Pet Shop Boys) have been helping Morten Harket from A-ha write his solo album.

To fill in a few words regarding the news, for the non swedish fans, Pet Shop Boys wrote one of the songs for the forthcoming album, while Jocke and Martin together with Morten himself wrote two of the songs.

Harket, Tennant, Lowe, Berg and Sköld. This could turn out really great!

It says that Eric Turner, an american artist living in Stockholm, works with the producer and songwriter Ishi/iSHi on Turners forthcoming album. iSHi wrote on his Twitter: ”Of to the next studio to meet Swedish band ”Kent” … Once again.. To record some live drums etc for Eric Turners album..” and also showed this picture of Markus Mustonen playing the drums:

Now back to what you suggest, you could be right, it isn't the first time foto's published at the main page are followed by the announcement that a new album will be made.

I thought they said no new album till next season and they have a bunch of other crap they're working on? Oh well, can't complain. I bet they have a stock of songs pre-recorded nowadays and they just record a few new ones on each release.
