Exclusive kent shop to open in Eskilstuna

Thursday 31st May, the same day that kent plays at Lokomotivet in Eskilstuna, a pop-up kent shop will open in Cityhuset. The shop will open at 1pm.

The shop is 35m² and will contain rarities from earlier tours, the new album Jag är inte rädd för mörkret and totally new merchandise taken from this years’ shows.

“We are really happy to be entrusted to sell old treasures but also the newest things, and hope that many will come here during the summer, says Anders Rydberg, store manager.

kent pop-up shop opens at 1pm on 31st May, thereafter it has the same opening times as Cityhuset. Weekdays 10am- 7pm, Saturdays 10am- 4pm, Sundays 12- 4pm. The shop is open between 31st May and 31st August.

Hmm...I don't like any of the new merch...guess that will save me some money! Are they coming out with a new lanyard this time? I am still using the one from the "Röd" tour and love it!

Another concert date added...

The summer tour begins in just under three weeks, but it’s not too late to add another date to the already extensive tour plan.

On 23rd August kent will play in Tromsö, at Dögnvillfestivalen.

It is also worth noting that the concert at Trädgårdsföreningen in Gothenburg on July 14th is now sold out. There is 10000 tickets sold and the note is on the door.


New single- Jag ser dig

On June 27th kent will release the single ‘Jag ser dig’ in limited edition vinyl, CD-maxi and digitally.

With the single there will be a remix by Adrian Lux. The vinyl is limited to 1000 copies and will be a 7” single.

Sami produces Ulrich Bermsjö

Tomorrow June 27th ‘Those who suffer love’ by Ulrich Bermsjö is released. Sami has written and prduced first 3 tracks on the album, ‘After hours’, ‘Silver screen’ and ‘Deeper high’. Also at the recording in Park Studio was Isabelle Erkendal who sang.

‘After hours’ is the first single and you can check out the video with Ulrich’s muse Emma Veronica Johansson and directed by Thomas Ökvist (yes, it is the same Thomas who made kent’s fine album covers and more).

Kent are in excellent form!

After six gigs on the summer tour, it is quite clear that kent are probably in the best ever shape.

Platinum discs for kent

Via Popdrommen we learned that kent have received platinum discs for their latest album ‘Jag är inte rädd för mörkret’.

The presentation of the discs happened backstage at Peace & Love in Borlänge in collaboration with kent’s gig there. More pictures here.

Rockbjörnen: kent nominated for Live group of the year.

Kent have been nominated for Live group of the year (Årets Livegrupp) in this years’ Rockbjörnen.

From now until 22nd August you can vote for kent every day- do it here!

New single: Tänd på

When kent played at Sjöhistoriska in Stockholm, they took the opportunity to record a video to Tänd på.
It will also be the next single and it will be released as a limited 7” vinyl, limited maxi CD and digitally.

As a b-side, it will be the previously released Soundcloud track ‘Ett år utan sommar’.

The release date is not yet decided.

kent wine in Systembolagets regular range.

From the 26th September, 2 of kent’s wines will be part of Systembolagets regular range. It is the two red wines, kent I Edizione and kent III Edizione.

If you want to know exactly which store will stock the wines you can check Systembolagets homepage and search for item number 2695-01 for kent I Edizione and 2184-01 for kent Edizione III.

Then click on the green button ‘Välj butik’. Note, this will work after the launch on 26th September at 10am.

According to my iTunes account, "Ett År Utan Sommar" is the song I listened to the most in 2012. It was a free download, mind you. I was somewhat disappointed that Kent didn't play it at Sjöhistoriska.

Slightly OT but anyone here follow SEL hockey and know of some blogs or something which has SEL hockey news or columns or articles in English? I wanna follow it while the NHL lockout happens but obviously don't speak Swedish.

I usually don't follow SEL much, it's all NHL for me... really too bad if the lockout will ruin this whole season. Had a look for you, found only one. It's not so active, but maybe it will become more active once NHL players will start playing?

This one is only about Elitserien though, not about Allsvenskan. Some players (Like Kopitar) end up in Allsvenskan. Elitserien is also still trying to stop teams from taking in NHL players. PM me if you want to know more, cause this is getting OT
